Well, this is my first foray into the blogosphere, send me good spelling and sentence structure thoughts. I guess this avenue of expression, while new and exciting, comes with a bit of foreboding as well. What if no one is interested in what I have to say? What if people I know and love don't agree with me? Hmmm..., here goes anyway.
My father--Tom Saxon, passed away on June 25th, 1995 of Burkitt's Lymphoma that had been diagnosed three months earlier, he was 49, I was 23. He loved Jesus Christ, the outdoors, and his two boys with everything he had, nothing held back. When I think back upon his life my thoughts wander through a maze of early morning prayer times, dinner table conversations, football games in the driveway, and outdoor adventures.
I am going to use this blog as a way to remember my father, and perhaps through this process work through my own grief and loss. I miss him everday and the hardest part about missing him is knowing my son and future children will not be able to experience his positive influence in the same way I did. I miss you Pops
